'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Yates - Home Form Will Be Key

Manager Mark Yates has said he can't wait to get back to league action following his pride at our Capital One Cup display in midweek and also that making our home ground a fortress will be key to our chances of success this season.

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the game against Accrington Stanley this weekend, he explained.

'I'm confident and I'm looking forward to it. It's a home game, a new season and we're coming off the back of two decent performances and one very good result so now we want to be able to impress the home supporters and give them something to cheer about.'

Yates goes on to say that especially following our showing against Brighton, the lads are full of beans and in good spirits and training has been excellent so he's hoping that will pass over into the game on Saturday and help us to another good result.

'I don't think there's any pressure at home. Last year is gone and we all want to do well at home. Success depends on our home performances, but it's a new group and I'm really happy with their workrate - if we carry that on then we'll win more matches than we lose.'

In terms of team selections, as things stands he's expecting everybody bar Asa Hall to be available and he again picked out the performance so far of Joe Hanks and he believes he should be an inspiration to the other youngsters when it comes to them taking their chances when they come along as well.
