The Flying Squad Returns For Fans

Cheltenham Town, in conjunction with Stagecoach West, are relaunching the Flying Squad this weekend for the Oxford game.

The initiative is aimed at Junior Schools and junior football clubs as well as associations like the Brownies and Cubs as was used last season.

Club Director Tim Russon told the Official Site of the scheme.

'The most pleasing thing was how many youngsters came to a football game for the first time to be part of the Robins Flying Squad and went home with a big smile on their face.'

The Flying Squad will form a guard of honour to welcome the two teams out on match days and will also do a lap of honour at the Abbey Business Stadium and this weekend we'll be welcome the Tewkesbury Town Colts and the Tewkesbury Town Pumas to the ground.

Stagecoach West have backed the club for a number of seasons now and have joined on as the Flying Squads official sponsors and will also be supporting a number of other youth based initiatives.

Glad to see the scheme return to engage younger fans and get them hooked on Cheltenham!
