Goalkeeper Signs 12 Month Extension

Connor Roberts has today put pen to paper on a new 12 month deal at the club.

The 20 year old joined us last summer following his release by Everton and he's impressed at our development level, although he's yet to make his debut for us.

Speaking to the Official Site Mark Yates said of the Welsh U21 international.

'We are just glad to have Connor back. He has developed well working with Steve Book and Browny so we didn't want to waste that. The deal had to be right for him but he has made good progress with us including getting into the Wales U21 squad.'

Yates says it was touch and go at one point but the club left the door open for him as negotiations began back in May, but thankfully he's decided to stay.
