En-Deering - Glad To Be Back, But Not Buzzing

Sam Deering has said he's glad to be back at the club in pre season training but knowing the hard work that is to come, he can't quite describe it as 'buzzing' to be back.

Speaking to the Official Site as the players returned for the necessary work ahead, he laughed.

'I'd say I was buzzing but I don't like pre season! Nobody likes pre season apart from Russ Penn but it's good to be back, good to see the lads and it's great knowing the season is only around the corner.'

Deering says that however tiring pre season work is, it's absolutely necessary otherwise players wouldn't be in the condition they need to be to face the season ahead, and following our disappointment last campaign, everybody who remains at the club don't want to feel that again so efforts are redoubled.

'You have to put the work in to get you through the season, and pre season is good for you because once you're up and running you feel better, you are much sharper on the ball.'

In the rest of the interview he talks about his own aims for the coming season as well as the additions of Jamie Cureton and Troy Brown.
