One In, One Out For Cheltenham?

One In, One Out For Cheltenham?

It's being reported that prolific striker Jamie Cureton could be our first signing of the summer after he was released by Exeter.

The 37 year old unfortunately found himself outside of Exeter's new wage budgets and Paul Tisdale was unable to offer him a new contract despite him finding the net 21 times for the club last season.

His stats are pretty impressive with him finding the net 247 times in 714 games over his career with 11 different clubs and a spell in South Korean football which I didn't know about.

Last season he was second only to Port Vale's Tom Pope and he is second to only Crystal Palace's 39 year old Kevin Phillips in the list of active scorers in the English game.

He would be a great additional should the report from the Gloucestershire Echo come to fruition. They suggest he has already agreed personal terms with Mark Yates.

In outgoing news, Sky Sports are reporting that Kaid Mohamed is on the verge of signing with Port Vale.

As we know the 28 year old is out of contract in the summer and despite being presented with a new offer Mark Yates has had his own doubts that he would remain with us next season.

They say he has agreed a two year deal with the club.
