Yates Expecting To Lose Mohamed

Yates Expecting To Lose Mohamed

Mark Yates has said that he expects Kaid Mohamed to move on this summer.

The winger has been with us for 2 season and found the net 18 times, but Yates said that after initial discussions with the player he expects him to move on.

Speaking to the Gloucester Citizen, he said.

'I said I would be making an offer and we were very honest with each other. He genuinely said he has loved it here but at this moment in time he doesn't see his future at the club. It's great that he was open and honest, I respect his honesty because he's had offers from one or two League One clubs and at least he had the guts to tell me to my face and with shook hands.'

Yates said that despite that he'll still be offering Mohamed new terms so he does have that option of continuing with us.

The manager also said he was hopeful that the club would tie down Scott Brown to a longer deal even though he still has another season left on his current one.
