'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Harrad Hoped For More Game Time

Shaun Harrad has said he believes he would've scored more goals had he played more in the second half of the season.

Speaking to the Gloucestershire Echo after his loan spell from Bury officially ended, Harrad said he enjoyed his time with us, but admitted his game time in the second half of the season was disappointing.

'I came to Cheltenham to play and the gaffer gave me that at the start and I repaid him with goals. But it was upsetting and frustrating not to be given as many games as I would have liked later on in the season. I don't have a bad word to say against the club, but I'll always think that if I'd played more games I could have reached my personal target of 25 and fired us to promotion.'

Be interesting, especially with Bury in financial trouble, if Yates returns for him in the summer, although Harrad himself believes that would be unlikely despite him ending the season as our leading goalscorer.

He also commented on the fans chanting his name in the Play Off Semi Final before he was introduced to the pitch, as he thought it was a brilliant gesture from them.
