Elliott Signs One Year Deal

Elliott Signs One Year Deal

Steve Elliott has signed a new one year deal with Cheltenham.

The 34 year old skipper made 52 appearances this season, making it 143 since he joined the club finding the net 7 times.

Speaking to the Official Site the defender said it was a no brainer for him once he knew the club wanted to keep him.

'It was a no brainer for me as soon as the gaffer told me he wanted me to stay. It was just a case of signing the contract and it has been done nice and quickly which I'm happy with. Leaving Rovers and joining Cheltenham has been everything I hoped for, I'm really pleased that I'll be here for another year.'

Elliott says that he thinks his appearance total in only three years is fantastic and he's looking forward to breaking the 150 mark and adding as many as he can over that in his coming time with the club.

The club have also announced that youth duo Joe Hanks and Ed Williams have also signed a one year contract each, securing their first professional contracts in football.
