'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Proud, Proud, Proud - Yates

Mark Yates has said he was proud of the performance, proud of the result and proud of the travelling fans following our victory over Exeter today.

Speaking to the Official Site after the 1-0 win, Yates said he was pleased with how we started the first 15 minutes but he then thought we went too open as Exeter threw caution to the wind in an effort to secure all three points, but when we tweaked a few things at half time he was much more pleased with our overall game play.

'We were in control of the game although we didn't have the ball much and we got what we needed but we did want to get the second. We could have been a bit better but it was a really professional job and the boys have done what was asked of them and that was to take it to next Saturday. It was a big three points.'

Yates adds that if Cheltenham don't get what we want from the final game then he'll allow the team 'a minute of disappointment' and then it'll be all eyes on the play offs.
