Cheltenham 1 Gillingham 0

13th April 2013
15:00
Whaddon Road

Gillingham are going up to League One, however the clinching of the League Two title remains on hold following defeat at Cheltenham on Saturday afternoon.

Cheltenham had the better of the first half chances, but both sides could have conceivably gone into the break ahead.

As the midway point of the second half approached Kaid Mohamed saw his effort deflected over. From the resulting corner Cheltenham broke the deadlock when Michael Hector (67) headed home.

Adam Barrett and Chris Whelpdale both went close to drawing Gillingham level but it was Cheltenham that maintained a phenomenal home record to win 1-0 and keep their automatic promotion push on track.
