'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Yates Hails Outstanding Performance

Mark Yates has hailed the outstanding performance of the team in today's game against table toppers Gillingham.

Speaking to the Official Site after the 1-0 win Yates couldn't hail the players enough for their efforts.

'We were outstanding today. We showed that aggression, we had that competitive edge and passed the ball around as well. It was a decent game of football and everybody was better than last week. That's the kind of performance I want to see next week. Everything was just spot on today.'

Yates adds that really Cheltenham could've won the game by a bigger margin with the chances we created, but unfortunately it wasn't to be, however we got the performance he wanted, and we got the result everyone wanted.

He adds that the players are pleased with their performances in the game as well and they are hoping that draws a line under the Plymouth disappointment.
