Howarth - We Lacked Quality
Assistant Manager Neil Howarth has admitted we lacked the quality to take maximum points against Accrington.
Speaking to the Official Site following the 2-2 draw, Howarth says we should've better expected the effort Accrington would put in and use it to our advantage by opening up areas of the pitch, but we failed to do so and we didn't have the quality to win the game.
'We can't help feel a little disappointed that we haven't shown enough quality. You always have to do the ugly side before your quality can be given the chance, but it was a real battle and we could have and should have shown more.'
Howarth admits that given our own performance we can't begrudge them a point and he does think we were actually at our best when we went behind, but he would've liked us to nick it - even if that wouldn't have been deserved.
He admits that the management team are disappointed with the goals we conceded, because he knows we are better than that.
